the street and as people going to and from the clubs, these people will cause problems. this is not like there are other streets going on. if this club was not there, there would be literally nothing going on. we have observed a constant for traffic between the parking lot -- as far as i know, the club has no ownership, legal right to that parking lot. we have seen a continuous problem created in the parking lot. >> this is more than 100 feet from the club itself. >> one of the reasons why we

recommended -- for the patrol officer is -- and they will have more leeway than private security. tentatively, they would have to use it. they have a much broader range of jurisdiction of where they can and cannot go. >> i get your reasoning.

>> well, you frame to this with if you don't like the place. >> us talk about trade, even though that they're licensed to sell are: until 2:00 a.m., can we restrict patrons after 6:00 p.m.? >> from the police department's perspective, we will speak to public safety. if we can articulate that it is in the public's best interest to restrict access, i would argue that we could do this. we recommend conditions every day of the week that are much more restrictive.

this is not uncommon in a city of san francisco with over 4000 licenses. >> it is none too profitable to own a car that allows alcohol sales until 2:00 a.m. if you have no customers on the -- coming to the door.

the place is currently for sale and that is a good thing and sometimes second be a bad thing. we are shifting our view of the situation and we have several tools available to us. that is something that we are currently looking at.
